Things are changing everywhere you look, including the seasons, US politics and industry attitudes. Judging by the current news articles and trade show exhibits, the industry finally has accepted low moisture as a viable form of carpet cleaning. From carpet mills to consumers, carpet cleaning contractors to homeowners, manufacturers to end-users, acceptance seems to abound.
We think we know why.
While we’ve always known that low moisture carpet cleaning is effective, there are actually many other reasons to embrace it. Environmentally, low moisture carpet cleaning systems can reduce electricity usage, water usage and greatly reduce or eliminate wastewater disposal issues. Additionally, we’re seeing a continuous flow of new and innovative machines designed to work with the new, modern chemistries in low moisture carpet cleaning operations. These new machines are designed to make the low moisture carpet cleaning process quicker, easier and more efficient.
There are other benefits as well. The reduction of latent moisture in carpets and substrates reduces the threat of mold, mildew or growth of pathogenic microorganisms. This can yield improved indoor air quality and can give us all a healthier indoor environment.
Finally, low moisture carpet cleaning has addressed real world cleaning issues. Low moisture carpet cleaning can improve perceived cleanliness, increase cleaning frequencies, and enhance carpet appearance. The result helps to make carpeting even more appealing to the average consumer. Carpets can be as quick and easy to keep clean as hard floors while delivering all the positive benefits for having carpeting - sound deadening, air filtering, and a general warm and cozy indoor environment.
I believe it is a combination of all these things that has propelled the LMCCA’s unprecedented growth. That… and the passionate enthusiasm of our membership. You!
Thank you for your support! Working together, as a unified group, we really can influence positive change.

With the cost of fuel rising and the tricky economy impacting cleaning decisions, we are all finding ourselves searching for ways to increase business while reducing costs.
Obviously, one solution is low moisture carpet cleaning. The benefits of using less energy and less water combined with timesaving efficiencies equate to major opportunities for carpet cleaners. In fact, many low moisture operations can be accomplished in less time and at a lower cost than traditional systems. This is becoming very appealing to consumers and may even open doors for carpet cleaning where they had previously been closed.
Perhaps that is part of what is fueling the LMCCA’s incredible growth recently. Carpet cleaners considering low moisture cleaning are realizing that there is a tremendous benefit belonging to a large association of like-minded professionals who have a strong voice in the carpet cleaning community. Equally important is having access to the world’s largest collection of research, magazine articles and white papers solely devoted to low moisture cleaning. Often, it is the third-party testimonials and other documentation that can be the deciding factor in the client’s decision-making process.
To make things even better, our new website is near completion. It will sport a new look and have a highly functional search engine capable of searching the LMCCA archives for articles, white papers and other documentation about low moisture carpet cleaning. Of course, it will also help anyone find a list of low moisture carpet cleaning professionals anywhere in the world.
Come to the LMCCA Membership Meeting and to our booth at the upcoming Connections Show in Las Vegas in September and see for yourself!
Stay well. Hope to see you in Vegas!

Welcome to this month's LMCCA newsletter.
Another simply extraordinary month has gone past and the future never looked brighter.
It was great seeing many of you at the recent Connections Show in Orlando.
The amount of experience, talent and knowledge in our membership never
ceases to amaze me.
At the show, a lot of the discussions revolved around the momentum gathering
with "green" related issues and "health" related issues. Both of which are
greatly enhanced by low moisture cleaning systems for all kinds of reasons.
Now that it appears the world is beginning to recognize the potential
"green" and "healthy" benefits of low moisture cleaning, it is thrilling to
know that the LMCCA is leading the pack.
I'm sure you'll agree that it is incredibly exciting to be a part of an
organization that is progressively growing by effectively working towards a
meaningful mission. That mission is "to increase awareness and knowledge
of low moisture carpet cleaning systems to gain world-wide acceptance of the
viability of low-moisture carpet cleaning systems used by professional
carpet cleaning technicians in order to provide the best possible carpet
cleaning system as dictated by the carpet itself and the unique environment
in which it is in service".
It is both thrilling and inspiring to be part of this association - and to
know it is your passion that makes it so. The future is so bright, we're
all going to need shades. Thank you all.

Greetings To All,
This year, 2008, stands to be a “mile mark” year for the LMCCA. Our membership continues to grow and we may see our ranks double or triple this year. Our mission has always been to increase the awareness and acceptance of low moisture carpet cleaning systems and as I look over what we have done the last few years, it’s easy to see how much we have moved forward.
This year, we will continue our involvement in trade shows and trade magazines. These have proven to be great opportunities to express our motivations and goals while allowing a wonderful glimpse of the people in the LMCCA. And after all, it’s the people that differentiate one association from another, the passion of the membership and the quality of its leadership. One look at the current Board of Directors shows the immense talent helping to drive the LMCCA. It is the most distinguished Board, with more diverse talent and knowledge, than we have ever had in the history of the LMCCA. People like this can not only help guide the LMCCA into the future, but can help guide the entire industry into future.
Additionally, this year the LMCCA has several eye-opening projects on the table.
These projects revolve around the issues that are most important in today’s marketplace. Specifically, it is our goal to explore how low moisture cleaning positively impacts current issues like the Green Movement, the Health & Safety Movement, Indoor Air Quality issues, Infectious Disease Control issues, etc. These are issues on everyone’s minds these days.
This is our year to perfect our website and referral networking programs, to complete the production and release of our “Procedures” Video and to continue to propel the LMCCA within our industry and others. Effectively making the LMCCA the association everyone wants to be involved with.
Again, people make the difference in the success of an association and we’re proud to be associated with people like you. Ultimately, you make the difference. We couldn’t be successful without you and together we can all do truly important and magnificent things. Thank you all.
